We all have heard of employees complaining about their bosses, some of them do this as a habit while some employees are really fed up with the attitude of their boss.

The marketing department of any company is the one that brings in the business, if they are not appreciated, encouraged and motivated from time to time they tend to lose interest in their work.

There are 3 types of motivation, the verbal motivation, written motivation and the bonus motivation. The ‘verbal motivation' needs nothing but a few sentences of praise and encouragement. When a team member has done a good job don't forget to show appreciation with a few good words. This can increase their motivation level and they generally will try to do their best in the future. If the contribution of your team member is commendable it is a good idea to write a note or an email in which you mention about the result of their hard work and efforts. When your whole team has performed well and you have got business as per your expectation, then there is no harm in announcing a bonus for all of them. This bonus could be a small increase in their salary which is not really a big deal if you compare it with the extra profits that your company has made.

If you can't do any of this the only thing left is to smile in appreciation of the hard work done by your team. You can also forward motivating stories to your team; you can find a lot of these motivating stories on the net. You can even share these stories in a meeting as well just to motivate them. Why not take your team for a treat or invite them out for dinner or lunch to celebrate your success.

Motivation is contagious, if you don't believe in it just try it out in your organization and see its wonders. Remember, your team reflects you, if the driver is good then people can see it from how the person is driving. The boss has to be active and must have passion to move ahead. If this lacks in a boss then the chances of growth is less.

You must also be open to any new ideas and suggestions that come from your team members. You never know how any new idea can work in favor of your company.
